M74 Spiral Galaxy

This is a reprocess of old data using new techniques. Luminance data = 2 hours, RGB data = 1 hour each.

DSI Pro II
Orion ED80 @ f4.7
Guided with DSI Pro II on 8"LX200GPS.

Used AIP4Win to register each channel, then used a strong deconvolution on the luminance image to enhance the detail.

In Photoshop I used the reduce noise filter to smooth the background, smart sharpen to sharpen the image, shadows/highlights adjustment to increase color without introducing color noise, and used a high pass filter to further sharpen the dust lanes.
